Sony 2006

Wow. I realize that there are still a few days left for Sony to screw something else up, but 2006 has really been a banner year for them.

I am, quite literally, in awe.

Among Sony's impressive achievements for 2006:

Sony opens 2006 in the midst of DRM Rootkit nightmare of their own creation

Even so, Sony had a little to much hubris heading into the PS3 pricing discussions

Then the word of Sony's new line of burning and exploding batteries gains traction

And ending the year on this (so far; stay tuned) All I want for Christmas is a PSP

Very impressive. What great crisis management experience for the public relations team. Again, and again, and again. Problem is they never seem to learn from their mistakes.

Rick Turoczy is hypocritical.

Sometimes I write hypocritical, a blog on marketing. Its purpose, beyond feeding my pure unadulterated hubris, is to provide yet another forum for yet another a) frustrated writer, b) misunderstood genius, c) marketing slob to critique concepts, capture thoughts, pose questions, and share ideas, in hopes of gaining a better understanding of the art of communication.
